Determiners are words which come before a noun or a noun phrase. They are:
- Articles (a, an, the)
Carla is reading a book, and then she’s going to write an essay.
Paul’s already read the book.
- Demonstratives (this, that, these, those)
I wrote a letter this morning.
That book is great!
These cars drive too fast.
Those houses are not far from the sea cost.
- Possessives (my, your, his, its, her, our, their)
Is that your car?
Lucy never shows her feelings.
Our garden is always full of flowers.
- Interrogatives (whose, which…)
Whose books are these?
Which coat is yours?
